Magazines Canada conducts Take 2 campaign

Magazines Canada has begun a national campaign called "Take 2" intended to encourage Canadian consumers to read magazines. The effort will take place via magazine stands and will involve publishers, retailers, distributors and wholesalers. The campaign also makes use of three online videos depicting people at a newsstand getting lost in the pages of a magazine. The videos encourage viewers to purchase magazines at retailers. The initiative includes the participation of approximately 140 magazines, 180 retail outlets and four retail chains. It also incorporates print advertising and social media activities.
