Colleges Ontario breaks television campaign

Colleges Ontario of Toronto has begun a new television advertising campaign that focuses on the role of the province's colleges in preparing students for careers. The ad, called "Higher Education for a New World," will run in the province in English and French for one month and again in the fall. It depicts graduates entering fields such as business, health care and digital animation. Its aim is to raise awareness of the range of programs offered by Ontario colleges.

"More than ever, parents and students are looking at post-secondary education to provide students with the professional qualifications and skills that lead to successful careers," said Linda Franklin, president and CEO of Colleges Ontario. "It's essential that we raise awareness of how college education opens doors to a wide range of career opportunities. College education is the perfect fit for many students with different strengths and career goals. In this new economy, parents and youth are encouraged to learn more about everything that is offered at today's colleges."
