S8 buys Industry Films

Toronto-based production company S8 has acquired Industry Films, a commercial production studio also based in Toronto. Tina Petridis, owner of Industry Films, will remain as CEO of the company and a partner in S8. Other S8 subsidiaries include Creative Soul, Stella Shoots, Mad Ruk, Panic & Bob and Smith.

"The production industry is at a crossroads and now is the time to shake things up," said Rodney Davis, chairman and CEO of S8. "We live and die with the talents and drive of our staff. And we believe in the future of Industry Films. With Industry we get Tina and her talented team. And this is a great addition to the S8 network. When you bring talented people together, great things can happen."
