Distributel debuts television service

Toronto-based telecommunications company Distributel Communications has launched a new television service called Distributel TV. The service is being rolled-out in a number of English- and French-language markets in Ontario and Quebec in conjunction with Internet television provider Zazeen of Mississauga. The service offers a basic package of 90 television channels, bundled with the company's Internet service for a monthly fee. The company plans to expand its television service into additional Canadian markets in the future.
"Distributel is once again taking a leadership role in Canadian telecommunications with its launch of its new TV service," said Matt Stein, CEO of Distributel. "Distributel TV means that Canadians finally have a real alternative to the television offerings of the country's big cable and phone companies.
