National promotes two

National Public Relations of Toronto has promoted Kim West to the position of partner, practice lead for public affairs and government relations, and director of integration. She will begin work on Jan. 5. She is currently a business strategist and partner at the agency's Halifax office. West became a partner in National in 2012 when the agency acquired MT&L Public Relations, of which she was a co-owner. She was also vice-president of McArthur Thompson & Law Advertising & Public Affairs and a director of the Government of Nova Scotia.
National has promoted Sarah Young to the position of managing partner of its three Atlantic Canada offices in Halifax, Saint John and St. John's. She was also a principal of MT&L, as well as a vice-president at Fleishman-Hillard and marketing manager of T4G.
