Plan Canada readies art installation in Toronto

International development agency Plan Canada is preparing a promotion in Toronto called "Notes for a Brighter Future." The initiative will coincide with the organization's third annual International Day of the Girl on Oct. 11 and will focus on issues of gender equality and human rights. It will take the form of an installation at the Toronto Eaton Centre created by artist Andreas Kopp. Over three days, Kopp will create an eight-foot-tall artwork out of Post-it Notes. Consumers will be invited to write messages on the notes positing "a brighter future for girls around the world." The promotion will also include the participation of actress and Plan Canada spokesperson Sarah Rafferty. It will also include social media activities and a website at <http://www.becauseiamagirl.ca/brighterfuture>.
