Keen conducts million steps contest

Outdoor apparel company Keen, based in Portland, OR, has begun an international contest promotion in support of its new Durand WP hiking boots. The contest is running in the United States, Canada, Japan and Europe. Consumers can enter at the company's website at <http://www.keenfootwear.com> by entering a description of where they would go in a million steps. One winner from each region will receive a trip for two to Portland for four days, a tour of the company's factory and a guided hiking tour of the Columbia River Gorge. The contest will run until Oct. 15. According to the company, the promotion is intended to encourage consumers to experience an adventure rather than imagining one.
