Companies Committed to Kids begins mental health campaign

Toronto-based non-profit organization Companies Committed to Kids, formerly Concerned Children's Advertisers, has begun a national public awareness campaign on the subject of the mental health of children. The campaign includes a television public service announcement aimed at parents. It focuses on the importance of a positive parent-child relationship in a child's long-term mental wellness. The commercial is being supported with online advertising and a website at <http://www.longlivekids.ca>.

"When it comes to their children's health, parents intuitively recognize the value of eating right and physical activity," said organization president Bev Deeth. "What's less understood is how parents themselves can be their child's greatest mental health asset."
