Miniclip signs in-game ad deal with RapidFire

Miniclip, a web-based video game company based in Switzerland, has retained RapidFire of Vancouver to provide advertising within its browser games. Using this system, real-time streaming ads will be inserted into 3D games in the form of virtual billboards, signs and posters. The agreement will begin with ads in the games Motocross Nitro, Turbo Racing 3, Diablo Valley Rally, Pro Kicker Frenzy and Basketball Jam Shots. Additional games will receive advertising in the future, according to the company.

"Miniclip is always looking for innovative advertising technologies that fit with our games," said Sylvia Epaillard, senior advertising manager at Miniclip. "As a tier-one game developer and publisher, we have high demands when it comes to our various monetization models. In-game advertising is a solution that we think has great potential to become even more important over the next years."

Miniclip operates 900 games in multiple languages, attracting approximately 100 million players per month.
