COMPANIES LAUNCH INTERACTIVE CARD SOFTWARE
By Adnews Staff
Micrografx Canada Inc. and American Greetings Corp. of Cleveland, Ohio introduced a CD-ROM package to the Canadian market this week that allows users to create and send greeting cards using PC and Internet technology. Called CreataCard Plus, the software comes complete with fonts, artwork, verse and specially designed cards. It can also be used to design cards from scratch. The package includes a calendar and address book function to keep track of personal and special event information. Cards can be printed and mailed from home, they can be sent to American Greetings to be printed and mailed, or they can be sent via the Internet. In Canada, the product is being promoted using PR done by Cohn and Wolfe of Toronto. The program was released in the U.S. in September.
