HUMMINGBIRD LAUNCHES SOFTWARE SUITE
By Adnews Staff
Hummingbird Communications of Toronto introduced software this week to the North American market that creates, manages and distributes electronic documents via CD-ROM, the Web and e-mail. Called Common Ground Publisher 3.0, documents can be created by printing from any Windows or Macintosh application, and can then be viewed, navigated and printed via almost any desktop, keeping the same appearance as intended by the author, without the originating application or fonts. Documents look exactly the same whether distributed by hard copy, fax, floppy disk, e-mail, CD-ROM or the World Wide Web. Common Publisher 3.0 will be advertised in the future using magazines and trade shows. Hummingbird is currently looking at creative from several unnamed agencies to decide which agency to use for the campaign.
