NEC NOTEBOOK
By Adnews Staff
U.S.-based NEC Technologies is introducing a new notebook computer to the North American market this week. The machine has a multimedia docking station, and a glide point instead of a tracking ball. The glide point is a pad that the user can glide his finger on to move the pointer on the screen. In addition, the computer has an internal data/fax modem and a recessed full-sized keyboard. Canadian print advertising began last week. It was created in-house, with the help of The Cohen Group of Richmond Hill, Ont. North American print and TV advertising will begin shortly. It was created by Houston Effler of Boston. In Canada, media buying for the North American campaign is done by Continental PIR of Toronto.
