Regina-based SaskTel has begun a new marketing campaign called "How Green R U" in support of the Saskatchewan Roughriders football team. The provincial campaign, developed by Blast Radius of Vancouver, invites consumers to submit photographs of themselves in green-coloured fan outfits to a website at <http://www.howgreenru.ca>. The company will place photo booths at a number of events in the province, along with a collection of team-themed paraphernalia and backdrops. Professional photographers and promotional workers will assist participants in preparing for their photos, which will be posted online as part of a contest component. Winners will receive prizes such as SaskTel merchandise, Roughriders merchandise and tickets to regular season games. The grand prize winners will receive two tickets to the Grey Cup game. The website is being promoted with print, radio, outdoor and online advertising as well as social media activities. The creative features SaskTel employees wearing fan outfits as they perform their jobs. The company will use a green version of its logo for the duration of the campaign. The campaign will run until the Grey Cup Championship game, which will take place in Regina on Nov. 24. "SaskTel is the homegrown communications service provider for Saskatchewan and the official communication provider and biggest fan of the Roughriders," said Janson Anderson, senior director of marketing for communications and customer experience at SaskTel.
