Mazda Canada to attempt record-breaking car parade

Mazda Canada will conduct a promotional event on Sept. 22 in association with owner's group TorontoMazda3.ca. On that day, the company will attempt to gather approximately 800 Mazda3 vehicles on the runway of the Oshawa Municipal Airport in an effort to break the world record for largest number of Mazda vehicles in a single parade formation. The current record of 683 was set in June 2013 in Lelystad, Netherlands. The event will take place in conjunction with the annual Heart for Hearth fundraising campaign for the Hearth Place Cancer Care Centre in Oshawa. Entry fees for the gathering will go to the charity. The promotion also includes a contest element, the winner of which will receive a three-year lease on a 2014 Mazda3.
