Prestige Brands begins Gaviscon campaign

Prestige Brands of Tarrytown, NY has begun a new Canadian advertising campaign for its Gaviscon line of antacid products. The campaign, developed by KBS+ Canada of Toronto, is intended to increase awareness and trial of the brand among medium and heavy antacid users. It consists of a 30-second television commercial depicting the product allowing a woman to get back to sleep in spite of her heartburn. "The insight that nearly two million Canadians have trouble sleeping from acid reflux led us to a serious, hard hitting creative approach that featured an impactful animated demo to clearly reinforce how Gaviscon delivers relief," said Dan Pawych, chief creative officer at the agency. "What stronger benefit can there be than to be able to get a good night's sleep?"
