Scion Canada continues Contingency Racing Program

Automaker Scion Canada has resumed its Scion Contingency Racing Program for a second year. The initiative consists of a national series of closed-course motorsport events for racing enthusiasts who participate using their own Scion vehicles. Events include slaloms, time trials and drag races, with cash prizes for the top three finishers. Participants also receive branded decals and other promotional merchandise. The program is being promoted with social media activities on the brand's Facebook page. "What moves Scion is breaking the rules to stand apart from other brands by offering vehicles that allow people to express their individuality and enjoy cars that fit their lifestyles," said Cyril Dimitris, director of Scion Canada. "We believe this program will move driving enthusiasts to become even more passionate about taking their personalized Scions to the track. It's a great way for us to give back to Scion enthusiasts." Scion is a subsidiary of Toyota.
