Scion Canada begins tuner challenge

Scion Canada has begun a contest called the "Canadian Tuner Challenge" aimed at vehicle tuners. The contest invites entrants to submit ideas for their ideal customized Scion. Three regional finalists will be selected based on creative design, in-car entertainment features, horsepower, cosmetic improvements, and braking and suspension systems. These finalists will then be asked to customize either a 2011 Scion XB, XD or TC, depending on their region. Each entrant will be given a $10,000 budget and access to the Canadian Scion authorized accessory catalogue to modify their vehicles. The finished entries will then be displayed at the 2011 Toronto and Montreal Importfest shows. The winner will be announced in Montreal. The winner will receive a trip to the Specialty Equipment Market Association show in Las Vegas, where the car will be displayed, as well as $5,000 and an Apple IPad. "Canadian Scion tuners, this is your chance to go behind the scenes at the SEMA world-class industry event, and show off your talent on a world stage to a professional audience," said Larry Hutchinson, director of Scion Canada. "Impress us, and we'll send you and your winning Scion to Vegas for the duration of the show." Scion Canada is the exclusive Canadian distributor of Scion vehicles.
