Nielsen brings online measurement service to Canada
Nielsen has expanded its Online Campaign Ratings service to Canada. The service, previously available only in the United States and the United Kingdom, measures online advertising. It offers data on reach, frequency and gross rating point metrics, as well as demographic information such as age and gender. The data is drawn from a combination of online panel participants and online data providers including Facebook. The company will also expand the service into Australia, Germany and Italy over the next several weeks. "These six markets represent the majority of ad dollars spent online annually," said Steve Hasker, president of global product leadership at Nielsen. "As advertising plans increasingly reach across platforms and borders, we look forward to continuing our work with marketers around the globe and offering them actionable insights to determine the effectiveness of their campaigns."
