Gesca Media Sales expands into Toronto

Montreal-based Gesca Media Sales has appointed Simon Jennings to the position of president of its soon-to-open Toronto office. The new office will handle national multi-platform advertising sales for Gesca's properties, which include La Presse, Le Soleil, Le Nouvelliste, Le Droit, La Tribune, Le Quotidien and La Voix de l’Est. "Establishing an office in Toronto brings us even closer to our customers, with the promise of personalized service," said Luc Tremblay, president of Gesca Media Sales Canada. Jennings was previously the president of Olive Media. He has also held senior positions at Yahoo, DoubleClick, Torstar Digital and Postmedia. The new office will begin operations on Feb. 1, 2013. Until then, print sales representation in Toronto will continue to be handled by Canadian Primedia Sales. Olive Media will continue to handle representation for the website Lapresse.ca. Gesca is a subsidiary of Power Corporation of Canada.
