Financial Consumer Agency of Canada begins contest

The Ottawa-based Financial Consumer Agency of Canada has begun an online contest promotion called "How I am saving for..." The initiative, aimed at consumers between the ages of 13 and 19, is being conducted via YouTube. Consumers can enter by submitting a video under three minutes in length illustrating how they are saving or managing money in order to achieve a financial goal. Videos will be judged on messaging, creativity and production quality by the agency. The winner will receive an Apple MacBook Pro laptop, while the second place finisher will receive an IPad and the third place finisher will receive an IPod Touch. A "People's Choice" award will also be given to the video that is most popular among YouTube viewers.
