Telemedia Communications has put its two major sports broadcasting entities under one roof. The company has formed a new division, Telemedia Sports Broadcasting, consisting of Toronto AM sports radio station The Fan 590 and Telemedia Network Radio Sports. "We will be structured to provide a stronger and more efficient service to advertisers and their agencies who want to reach a male demo within an effective sports environment," division vice-president Paul Williams says in a release. Williams was most recently vice-president of Telemedia Network Radio Sports. Other changes have been made in the sales department. Percy Vail comes to the new division as sales vice-president and general manager. Formerly, he was sales vice-president at Philips Electronics. Tom Harkness, former sales general manager at The Fan, has been appointed national and network sales manager in the new division. Keith Moriarity is retail sales manager, moving from the same position at Telemedia's London, Ont. radio station CKSL.
