CBC News has appointed David Walmsley to the position of director of news content. He will lead the broadcaster's foreign and domestic newsgathering initiatives for all of its programs and platforms. Walmsley has previously worked at CBC News as executive producer of newsgathering and managing editor of CBC News Ottawa. He has also worked at the National Post and the UK-based Daily Mail and Daily Telegraph.
