Toronto-based Adcentricity has acquired Media 2 Go International, located in Vaughn, ON. Media 2 Go specializes in mobile advertising via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, while Adcentricity specializes in location-based marketing. Adcentricity will use The technology of Media 2 Go to deliver multimedia promotional content such as coupons or ads to mobile devices. "This adds a new level of consumer engagement," said Doug Woolridge, CEO of Adcentricity. "We can now upgrade a passive digital screen to an interactive digital experience, delivering relevant content to a consumer's mobile phone, in proximity to the digital screen.
