Lock company Weiser will conduct a touring promotion called the "Weiser Smart Security Tour" this spring and summer. The tour will visit 66 events and home improvement retailers in southern Ontario and Quebec between May and September. It will make use of a 56-foot branded trailer that will function as a mobile showroom where promotional workers will conduct demonstrations of the company's SmartKey product line. Visitors to the trailer can also enter a draw for various daily prizes and a grand prize of a $5,000 gift certificate from Signature Vacations. "This is the first time we've done a tour like this in Canada and we're really excited about helping consumers better understand some of the amazing technology we've introduced to make their homes safer and more secure," said Mark Wallace, senior group marketing manager at Weiser. "We've made huge technological advances in home security in recent years without making our locksets more complicated to use. This tour will help us educate consumers by giving them the knowledge to improve their home security." Weiser is a subsidiary of Stanley Black & Decker.
