Montreal-based La Maison des cultures nomades has developed a new website focusing on contemporary Aboriginal music. The site, called Musiquenomade.com, was created in association with Wapikoni mobile and designed by Absolunet. The site includes profiles of Aboriginal musicians, video clips, downloadable songs, photographs, a concert calendar, music advice and information about the Aboriginal communities and nations in Quebec. The site is backed by a mobile recoding studio that is intended to provide development assistance to First Nations professional and semi-professional musicians. It allows them to make sound recordings and videos to expose their music to the public.
