Getty Images conducts This is Canada contest

Stock photography company Getty Images has begun a contest called "This is Canada." The contest, which will run until May 19, encourages consumers to submit photographs depicting "authentic Canadian imagery" via a website at <http://www.showusyourcanada.ca>. The winning images will become part of the company's Flickr Collection, while the grand prize winner will receive a Canon EOS 7D digital camera kit and 2,000 Air Miles points. "The Flickr Collection empowers a global community of photographers to license authentic and regional imagery from around the world," said Andrew Delaney, director of creative content at Getty Images. "This is Canada celebrates uniquely Canadian images, everything from iconic Canadian landscapes to Canadians' way-of-life, and plays an important part in fostering the impressive depth and range of photographic talent that exists within the country."
