Group buying website has appointed DDB Canada of Toronto its public relations agency of record. DDB won the account in a competitive pitch process involving six other agencies in the fall of 2011. The firm is now working on a PR campaign intended to increase awareness of the brand, increase membership and merchant involvement, and to assist in the launch of future applications and products. The initiative will begin in March, followed by mass media, digital and social media activities in the summer.
