Baked goods company Dempster's will begin a promotion for its new bagels on Feb. 9, which the company has designated "National Bagel Day." The promotion will begin on that day with an event at Yonge & Dundas Square in Toronto featuring celebrity chef Bob Blumer. During February and March the company will conduct a national touring initiative featuring an installation called the "Dempster's Pop Up Bakery." The installation will resemble an oversized toaster and will be used to distribute product samples. The tour will visit Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary, Winnipeg and Vancouver. The promotion is being supported with social media activities.
