NET NANNY OPENS NEW DISTRIBUTION CHANNELS

Net Nanny Ltd., Vancouver-based makers of a self-titled parental control program for the Internet, expanded its worldwide distribution channels last week. An abridged version known as Net Nanny Lite, which contains 200 of the regular version's thousands of entries, will be offered free through ZD-Net and with US Online's Internet Made Easy v1.5. In addition, Net Nanny is now sold commercially through Online Interactive Inc.'s At Once Software on-line store and will be available through c|net's BuyDirect.com on-line store in September. Net Nanny is a Windows-based Internet and PC screening tool that allows parents to monitor their children's Internet and computer activities without being present. Most advertising for Net Nanny is done in-house, but the company also use Dome/FCB Ltd. of Vancouver for some work.
