H&R Block Canada hires Stone Canoe

Tax preparation company H&R Block Canada has retained Stone Canoe of Toronto as its online agency of record. The firm won the account in a review involving an unknown number of contenders. The assignment includes online work for H&R Block's retail and digital divisions, beginning with an online advertising and social media campaign for the 2012 tax season. "As our marketing efforts expand, we wanted to bring in new expertise and ideas that would work well with our existing agency partners," says Kevin Mobley, director of marketing at H&R Block Canada. "Stone Canoe showed a remarkable aptitude for forward thinking in the ever changing online market and they make a good fit with our existing team." Due North Communications will continue to handle retail advertising and most media buying for H&R Block.
