Mattel readies Hot Wheels promotions

Toy company Mattel is preparing a summer marketing program for its Hot Wheels product line. The program includes special events, sponsorships and a new website at <http://www.hotwheelslive.ca>. The website offers a collection of videos featuring vehicles of various types, as well as an online game and a contest, the winner of which will receive a trip to the Indianapolis 500 auto race. The initiative also includes a "Hot Wheels Live Tour" that will visit a number of Canadian events, including the Formula 1 race in Montreal, the Honda Indy Toronto race and the Canada Diecast Convention, among others. The Hot Wheels brand will also continue its sponsorship of the Honda Indy Toronto and the Canada Diecast Convention.
