Canada Post debuts new online marketing service
By Adnews Staff
Canada Post has introduced a new service called CentrSource.ca. The website is intended to function as an online marketplace that connects advertisers and consumers. It is aimed primarily at small to medium-sized businesses seeking to reach consumers in their local neighbourhoods. "CentrSource.ca is an attractive tool for businesses of any size,"said Laurene Cihosky, senior vice-president of direct marketing, advertising and publishing at Canada Post. "It helps them promote their products and services in the online marketplace, even if they don't have a website, and makes it possible for them to compete on equal footing with larger competitors. By taking a proactive approach to the growing online advertising market, CentrSource.ca becomes a product extension that complements our existing print and physical ad mail products. We want to offer advertisers a way to leverage both physical and electronic channels to ensure maximum reach." The service is a joint initiative of Canada Post and CentrSource, a Swiss-based electronic commerce company.
