Zig becomes Crispin Porter & Bogusky Canada

Zig of Toronto has been merged into US-based Crispin Porter & Bogusky. The agency will now operate as Crispin Porter & Bogusky Canada. Both firms are part of MDC Partners. CP&B Canada will be run by newly-appointed CEO Shelley Brown. Former CEO Andy Macaulay has become chairman. According to the company, he will act in an advisory capacity. Zig's Chicago office will close. "I've loved Zig forever," said Chuck Porter, chairman of Crispin Porter & Bogusky and chief strategist at MDC. "They're smart and they do great work that builds brands. Adding their creative firepower to what we now have in Boulder, Miami, Los Angeles and Sweden will be a great thing for our agency and our clients. Being in Toronto is an added benefit. This is the third largest advertising market in North America with a fantastic creative community. I'm hoping we'll be able to attract more than our share." The former Zig's client list includes Molson Canadian, Ikea, Best Buy Canada, Burt's Bees, Pfizer, SCA and Unilever. Crispin Porter & Bogusky clients include Burger King, Microsoft, Domino's Pizza, Coca-Cola, Kraft, American Express, Old Navy, Gap, Jose Cuervo and Best Buy.
