Canadian Tourism Commission signs Akshay Kumar as spokesperson

The Canadian Tourism Commission has formed an endorsement agreement with Indian actor Akshay Kumar. Kumar will act as an "ambassador" to India on behalf of Canadian tourism until the summer of 2012. As part of the deal, Kumar will participate in a series of trips to Canadian destinations that will be covered in India through video and blog posts. "Having a superstar like Akshay on board to boost Canada's profile within his country will help turn the spotlight on the extra-ordinary experiences that visitors can enjoy here," said Michele McKenzie, president and CEO of the commission.
