SAATCHI WINS PEPPERIDGE FARMS
By Adnews Staff
Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising has cookies on its menu now. Last week the agency's New York office was given the North American account for the Pepperidge Farms division of Campbell Soup Company. Saatchi's New York chairman Michael Jeary told Adnews last week that his agency would be working with the Toronto office which will handle the Canadian account. In the U.S. billings are $10 million(US) to $15 million. In Canada, Pepperidge Farms spent $413,000(Cdn) on television advertising in 1994, according to Nielsen Marketing Research estimates. The account was with Ogilvy & Mather in New York for 40 years until O&M resigned it last month because of a conflict with another client, Van Den Bergh Foods Company. O&M's Toronto office did Canadian advertising. Saatchi won the business in competition with another unnamed agency.
