MASTHEAD LAUNCHES ON-LINE SERVICE

North Island Publishing of Mississauga, Ont., publisher of Masthead magazine, has launched an on-line service for its subscribers. Called Masthead Online, the service offers daily news bulletins from the magazine industry, a classifieds service and an industry forum in which subscribers can seek advice or post opinions about the magazine industry. A Resources conference contains postal rates, relevant tax laws, readership statistics, awards show information and government program details. In addition, users can get information such as a directory of magazine industry suppliers and information on new products and services for publishers and their staff. Masthead magazine is a monthly publication that covers the magazine industry. It has a circulation of 4,100, and is available by subsription and at Toronto bookstores.
