FPinfomart.ca debuts social media monitoring service
By Adnews Staff
FPinfomart.ca has introduced a new social media monitoring service called FPinfomart Heartbeat. The service allows users to monitor social media conversations and measure various aspects of these communications, such as sentiment and "share of voice" in comparison to competitors. It also allows users to participate in these conversations and produce reports. According to the company, the service can monitor brand impact and corporate reputation, as well as provide competitive analysis. The service makes use of a database developed by Sysomos consisting of conversations drawn from blogs, social networking sites, wikis, message boards, video sharing sites and news sources. "Business leaders understand the influence that social media can have on brands and reputations," said Warren Cable, vice-president of FPinfomart.ca. "The real challenge is finding a way to manage the volume and turn it into business insight. FPinfomart Heartbeat does just that." FPinfomart.ca is a division of Canwest Publishing.
