POPULAR IRISH ALE IMMIGRATING TO CANADA
By Adnews Staff
The Premium Beer Company of Mississauga, Ont., will begin selling Caffrey's Irish Ale in Ontario restaurants and pubs by the end of August. The company has the Canadian distribution rights to market the beer here. It is brewed by Bass Brewers of Belfast. Premium hasn't decided yet if it will roll out the beer across Canada. It wants to see how it does in Ontario before making any plans, spokesperson Rick McCallum told Adnews yesterday. Caffrey's Ale has 4.8% alcohol and will be available in 50 litre kegs. Premium may launch print advertising for the brew in the fall. If it does it will be handled in-house.
