WEB SITE STUDY AVAILABLE

ACNielsen of Markham, Ont. now has a study available that can help web site managers gauge the effectiveness of their sites and their Web advertising programs. Called The Web in Perspective, the study was compiled by analyzing the behavior of millions of visits to 75 ad-supported sites in the U.S. The major findings of the study include: average traffic at ad-supported web sites has more than doubled in the last three months; while U.S. visitors account for 70% of the traffic at sites analyzed, international traffic has grown at more than twice the U.S. growth rate; users of ad-supported web sites view an average of six pages per visit, spending seven minutes doing so.
