New president at DDB Canada

DDB Canada has promoted David Leonard to the position of president and chief operating officer. He was previously president of the agency's Toronto office. Leonard will continue to manage operations in Toronto operation and will also oversee the firm's offices in Edmonton and Vancouver. Leonard first joined the agency, then called Palmer Jarvis, in 1994. Over the next seven years he held a series of positions culminating in the post of senior vice-president and group account director. In 2001 he became president and CEO of Arnold Worldwide in Toronto, before returning to DDB in 2005 as Toronto president. "My new role is to ensure our Canadian operations continue to deliver the best marketing solutions possible to our clients," said Leonard. "I'll be providing a renewed focus and direction to keep our operations nimble and future-ready, and advance DDB's leadership position in the industry."
