Arts & Communications adds public relations unit

Toronto-based Arts & Communications has added public relations to its list of services, which have previously included sponsorship activities and experiential marketing. Charlene Lo has joined the firm as vice-president of public relations to lead the unit. She was most recently at Cossette. Talvi Kuld has been hired as a public relations account director. She has previously worked at LCI Associates, CBC,  the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario and the Canadian Cancer Society. "The expansion of our expertise to include PR means we can now offer full marketing communications planning to our clients in the arts, cultural and lifestyle sectors," said agency president Bonnie Hillman. In addition, James O'Connor has joined the firm as a sponsorship account director. He was previously part of the sponsorship sales development department at Harbourfront Centre. He has also worked at the National Ballet of Canada, ACT and the International AIDS Conference. Yvette Lam has also been hired as a sponsorship account director. She was previously director of marketing and development at Theatre New Brunswick.
