Hearst Media Services hires Tagga Media

Hearst Media Services, a division of US newspaper publisher Hearst Corporation, has hired Tagga Media of Vancouver to develop a mobile marketing system for its advertisers. The system will add text message advertising and websites optimized for mobile devices to Hearst's existing print and online ad inventory. "The Tagga platform enables us to offer a new form of engagement marketing to our advertisers," said Dan Lovelace, manager of strategic partnerships and products at Hearst. "Mobile provides instant interaction and access to information for readers who may not have immediate access to a computer. Tagga puts our advertisers' information on the handhelds and in the pockets of their customers."
