Website roundup

Score Media of Toronto has redesigned its website at TheScore.com. The changes are intended to make the site more simple and convenient to use. New features include a ticker that displays scores of ongoing games in various sports leagues, an enhanced news section with video, blogs by on-air personalities and social media features. "The new site is about informing and entertaining our users by giving them intimate and immediate access to our talent and the best original sports content out there," said Jonathan Savage, digital media vice-president at Score Media. "The site delivers a clean and simple user interface with a renewed focus on our core values of delivering real-time scores, irreverent content, breaking news and entertainment to sports fans everywhere."

Loblaw Companies will relaunch fashion retailing website Joe.ca on Feb. 25. The new site will include a blog, daily polls, an IPhone application for designing outfits and a desktop program that will offer "fashion forecasts." The new site also makes use of a new pop-art visual style. The relaunch will coincide with the introduction of new products from the chain's spring collection. "We want to ensure our new and loyal customers continue to find valuable and entertaining content each time they visit," said Craig Hutchison, senior marketing vice-president at Loblaw. "Ultimately, we want Joe.ca to be a top-of-mind fashion resource."
