Virgin Mobile Canada readies Valentine's Day street promotion

Cell phone provider Virgin Mobile Canada will conduct a street promotion from Feb. 12 to 14 in advance of Valentine's Day. Promotional workers dressed as angels will be present in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal to provide pedestrians with "acts of love" such as free coffee and transit tokens. The promotion is being supported with social networking activities at Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. "Whether you're a Virgin Mobile member or not, we're bringing some special treats across Canada to show Canadians how we care," said Nathan Rosenberg, chief marketing officer of Virgin Mobile Canada. "At Virgin Mobile, Valentine's Day is our favourite holiday because we're all about getting Canadians in the mood and spreading the love, from the company they love."
