Sloan joins York University

York University of Toronto has appointed Jennifer Sloan to the newly-created position of vice-president of university relations. She will head the division that handles communications for the school's marketing and communications unit, the Office of University Events & Community Relations and the Office of Alumni & Advancement Services. Sloan was most recently executive vice-president of corporate affairs at Vale Inco. She has also been director of communications in the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and consul for political and economic relations and public affairs at the Canadian Consulate General in New York City.
