COREL LAUNCHES NEW SOFTWARE SUITE

Ottawa-based Corel Corp. will introduce its 32-bit Corel Office Professional 7 software to the North American market by the end of July. The program uses Barista technology which lets the user publish documents directly to the Java language. The core applications in the suite include word processor WordPerfect, spreadsheet program Quattro and a presentations graphics program. The suite also features CorelDRAW, Netscape Navigator, personal information manager InfoCentral, relational database Borland's Paradox and GroupWise, which is used for e-mail and scheduling. North American TV and print advertising will support the launch of the software. It will be created in-house.
