BOWDENS INTRODUCES NEW SERVICES
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Bowdens, a media monitoring company, launched a Windows version of its media directory earlier this month and introduced two new services: Media Search and Media Alert. The media directory has over 14,500 contacts at 4,500 media sources. Users can type in a profile of who they want to target their press releases to, based on titles, type of media, provinces, and so on. The directory will find the names of the people to send the information to. Other lists in the directory, created in conjunction with Canada Newswire, let users target people such as federal and provincial politicians, 1,500 employees of Canadian corporations and financial buyers and sellers. Bowdens began promoting the Windows version of the directory last month using direct mail and print created in-house. The Media Search and Media Alert services allow clients to track, search and download electronic news coverage. These services are being promoted using brochures created in-house, as well as flyers and letters to clients.
