Corby Distilleries conducts Uncorking the Laughter contest

Corby Distilleries has begun a contest promotion for is Jacob's Creek wine brand called "Uncorking the Laughter." The contest is part of the brand's sponsorship of the Just For Laughs comedy festival. During the promotion, which will run until July 10, Canadians are invited to submit jokes through the brand's Twitter feed at <http://www.twitter.com/jcuncorking>. The winner will receive tickets to the festival's All Star Gala on July 16. The contest is being promoted with print and online advertising, as well as point-of-sale materials at LCBO stores. The company is also conducting a contest at 25 Toronto-area restaurants during which entrants can win tickets to the festival's Britcom Gala on July 18. "With their easygoing, friendly style, Jacob's Creek Australian wines are the perfect match for the atmosphere of a comedy festival," said Emma Herlihy, wines marketing director at Corby. "Like a great wine, a good joke strikes the perfect balance between creativity and good taste. To win our contest, you need to deliver the right blend of humour and ingenuity in the true spirit of Just For Laughs."
