HELENE SWITCHES U.S. SUAVE AGENCIES
By Adnews Staff
Helene Curtis Inc. of Chicago has given its U.S. Suave personal care products account to Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide's Chicago office. The switch comes three months after Helene Curtis was bought by Unilever N.V., a long time Ogilvy client. At that time Helene Curtis moved the Suave account from Bayer Bess Vanderwarker of Chicago to Foote, Cone & Belding of Chicago. Both agencies are owned by True North Communications. In Canada, advertising for Helene Curtis will continue to be done by DDB Canada of Toronto, marketing vice-president Jamie Condie told Adnews yesterday. Ogilvy was given the U.S. business without a review. Two Chicago sibling shops, Ogilvy Adams & Rinehart and O&M Direct, handle PR and database marketing for Suave.
