Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation breaks national campaign
By Adnews Staff
The Ottawa-based Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation has begun a national campaign intended to raise public awareness of the Crown corporation's deposit insurance protection. The campaign consists of television, print and online advertising. The creative encourages viewers to use the CDIC.ca website or toll-free number, or to contact their bank or investment firm to find out whether their savings are protected. "Canadians are increasingly asking questions about how they can protect their hard-earned savings," said CDIC President and CEO Guy Saint-Pierre. "RRSP season is typically a time for Canadians to think about their money and to ask questions about CDIC deposit insurance. Our hope is that this campaign will prompt consumers to find out what's covered by CDIC and what's not."
